Leadership Spotlight: Webinar: Advancing Patient Safety Together
A recently released national action plan provides health systems with renewed momentum and clear direction for advancing toward safer care across the continuum.
On Sept. 30, join two patient safety experts from the U.S. Agency for Health Research and Quality and Advocate Aurora Health, which serves communities in Illinois and Wisconsin, for a complimentary webinar that will explore Safer Together: A National Action Plan to Advance Patient Safety. During the webinar, these experts will discuss the four foundational domains of the report and the critical role healthcare leaders play in advancing safety. They will also help attendees identify areas of focus in their own organizations’ safety journeys. Register today.
Virtualization of Care: The Future of Oncology Disease Management
Virtualization of care touches three areas of health: health intervention and maintenance; care access and quality; and patient and operations costs. It provides a way to safely treat patients, and helps eliminate obstacles to timely, quality exams, diagnoses and follow-up. With virtual care, patients enjoy greater convenience, more access and lower costs.
Increased access to and continuity of care have administrative benefits too. Virtual care can help healthcare leaders lower medical expenses and boost operational efficiency, and it typically lowers charges for patients, too.
Rapid Deployment of Digital Tools
Cloud-based tools and telehealth options used to mitigate risk of spreading COVID-19 and support continuity of oncology care can enable better, more personalized healthcare delivery. Clinical decision support tools, such as software-as-a-service, are available anytime, anywhere, to help physicians discuss and align on patient treatments when working remotely.
In addition, aggregated patient data stored in a secure cloud, when considered along with curated scientific and medical data, enrolling clinical trials and treatment guidelines, accelerates confident, evidence-based multidisciplinary collaboration among members of a virtual tumor board. It also enables providers to continue caring for patients while preserving their privacy.
