Four New Governors Elected to ACHE Board

CHICAGO, March 17, 2012—Four healthcare leaders have been elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). They are: CAPT Robert S. Fry, PhD, FACHE, John L. Harrington Jr., FACHE, Vanda L. Scott, EdD, FACHE, and Sunil K. Sinha, MD, FACHE. They took office today at the Council of Regents Meeting preceding ACHE’s 55th Congress on Healthcare Leadership. The new governors will serve a three-year term representing ACHE affiliates on ACHE’s Board of Governors, the authority that oversees ACHE operations and member services. All are board certified in healthcare management as ACHE Fellows.

Fry is assistant deputy chief for future operations, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C. He served as ACHE Regent for the Navy from 2008 to 2011.

Harrington is CEO, Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, Sun City West, Ariz. He served as the ACHE Regent for Arizona from 2001 to 2005.

Scott is CEO, Select Specialty Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn. She served as the ACHE Regent for Tennessee from 2009 to this year.

Sinha is vice president, medical affairs, Bon Secours–Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville, Va. He served as the ACHE Regent for Maryland from 2008 to 2011.
