Toshiba continues role as major Corporate Donor of the Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives

CHICAGO, August 15, 2011—To help educate future healthcare leaders, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., is continuing its support of the Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as a corporate donor for the Fund for Innovation in Healthcare Leadership. Starting in 2010, Toshiba is underwriting 20 scholarships each year for mid-level healthcare executives to participate in ACHE’s Executive Program. This support will continue through 2012, enabling a total of 60 healthcare executives to access education on leadership, innovation and management for the future

While the healthcare field continues to evolve, ACHE and the Fund provide opportunities for exploring emerging topics and developing innovative solutions. “The continued commitment from Toshiba provides a unique opportunity to champion leadership innovation in healthcare delivery through scholarships for ACHE’s Executive Programs,” said Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, CAE, president and CEO, ACHE.

The ACHE Executive Program is a series of two, two-day sessions and one two-and-a-half-day session held throughout the year in three distinct locations. It is designed to prepare mid-level managers for career and organizational growth.

“Toshiba’s support of the Fund for Innovation in Healthcare Leadership demonstrates our dedication to supporting the education of future healthcare executives so they are prepared to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing healthcare market,” said Cathy Wolfe, senior director, corporate and strategic communications, Toshiba. “This outstanding program provides an opportunity for Toshiba to invest in the future of healthcare by providing greater educational opportunities.”
