Leading Patient Flow: Improving Care Through New Ideas
Implement the newest models for ED intake and efficient patient flow
Tuesday, December 11, 2012
1:30 p.m. Eastern
The Emergency Department is the front door to the hospital and in many cases the gateway to healthcare, but for many patients the ED experience is fraught with inefficiencies, waits and delays. Of patients in hospital beds across the United States at this moment, two thirds passed through the ED to get there. Traditional triage in particular creates a bottleneck to smooth patient flow in most departments, however the operations and processes that help expedite the input of patients can be made more efficient.
In this cutting edge webinar, you’ll take a fast paced look at the most innovative strategies being employed and solutions for improving the back end of the ED visit. Based on work done under an AHRQ grant, this program presents the newest models for intake including process changes, space changes and technology changes.
