ACHE welcomes partnerships with other qualifying healthcare organizations to award ACHE Qualifying Education credits. Program offerings should be directly applicable to a healthcare management practice.

Continuing Education Information

When you attend an ACHE in-person or e-learning event, you can earn multiple credits to advance toward Fellow status or other career goals.


Joint Accreditation 

As a nationally recognized Joint Accreditation (JA) Provider, ACHE promotes interprofessional collaborative continuing education (IPCE) activities specifically designed to improve interprofessional collaborative practice. Activities are planned by the healthcare team for the healthcare team. IPCE activity credits are accepted as CME for medicine, and CE for dieticians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants and social workers. Approved learning formats for Joint Accreditation include all national ACHE In-Person Education, all national ACHE Virtual Interactive Education, select live webinars and on-demand education.

In support of improving patient care, the American College of Healthcare Executives is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  ACHE can accredit continuing education activities with the following credit types:  

  • Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE)
  • Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
  • Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
  • American Academy of PAs (AAPA)
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
  • Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

ACHE In-Person Education Credit

Earn ACHE In-Person Education credits by participating in ACHE education events such as the Congress on Healthcare Leadership or ACHE Clusters. Approved ACHE Chapter Panel Discussions are also eligible to provide In-Person Education credits.

Additionally, you can bring ACHE Faculty to your organization to provide in-person workshops or keynote addresses for ACHE In-Person Education credit through our Choice programs.

ACHE Virtual Interactive Education Credit

Earn ACHE Virtual Interactive Education credit by participating in approved virtual events including ACHE Virtual Interactive Education, Health System Simulation, and Virtual Chapter Panel Discussions.

Additionally, you can bring ACHE Faculty to your organization to provide virtual workshops or keynote addresses for ACHE Virtual Interactive Education credit through our Choice programs.

ACHE Qualifying Education Credit

Qualifying Education credits are awarded for learning events sponsored by ACHE and other Qualifying organizations. Options for earning credits include webinars , self-study courses, and other distance education or in-person programs.

NAB Credit

Among the ACHE educational seminars approved for credit from the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) are select two-day Cluster and Congress on Healthcare Leadership seminars.
