ACHE Blog: Perspectives From ACHE’s Summer Intern

“I look forward to the time in my career where I can directly see the impact that my healthcare leadership skills have made on people’s health and wellness,” writes Morgan E. Krizan, ACHE’s 2022 Diversity Intern. Krizan, who is working toward earning her MBA from Concordia University, St. Paul, N.D., was placed in the internship through the Institute for Diversity and Health Equity’s Summer Enrichment Program, which ACHE co-promotes.

In a recent ACHE Blog post, Krizan shares how growing up in rural North Dakota influenced her interest in healthcare management and how she hopes to contribute to improving access to healthcare for underserved communities. She also discusses her involvement with ACHE as a Student Associate and the opportunities she has had through the Diversity Internship and the Institute’s Summer Enrichment Program.

Join The Alliance Next Month for the 2022 National Critical Issues Forum

Sept. 15–16, the Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance, also known as “The Alliance,” will convene the 2022 National Critical Issues Forum in Orlando, Fla., for a collaborative discussion about increasing organ donation and transplantation.

During this biennial event, current and emerging leaders will explore regulatory shifts, economic challenges, staffing pressures and the need to incorporate novel technical innovations into organ donation and transplantation practices. A principal objective of this forum, titled “Optimizing Performance in an Age of Disruption,” is to provide participants with the necessary skills to turn challenges into opportunities and adverse or challenging environments into performance improvement endeavors.

The forum is recommended for professionals who play a role in the organ donation and/or transplantation workflow. Early bird pricing is available through Aug. 16. Learn more and register today.

Meet in Milwaukee for NALHE’s 5th Annual Leadership Summit

The National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives invites you to join in person for its 2022 Annual Leadership Summit. This year’s event, “Raising the Bar in Brew City!” will convene a diverse group of healthcare executives and experts Sept. 29–30 to connect and drive insights into the Latina, Latino and multicultural experience in the healthcare leadership space.
