Achieve Your Professional Goals Virtually
As we continue to navigate challenges that COVID-19 poses, we are committed to providing members with the education and resources they need in a variety of formats. This spring, we invite you to join us for ACHE’s premiere Virtual Leadership Symposium, April 11–12. During this two-day event, healthcare leaders can earn up to 6 ACHE Face-to-Face Education and continuing medical education credits for physicians, nurses and pharmacists from the convenience of their home or office.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from 90 faculty in more than 30 virtual live sessions, including the following featured speakers:
- Jen Ashton, MD, chief health and medical correspondent, ABC News, and Leana Wen, MD, emergency physician and public health professor, George Washington University, will provide thought-provoking insights at the opening session about fostering resilience and teamwork during times of crisis.
- During Hot Topic: An Evidence-Based Approach to Addressing Healthcare’s Inequities, David R. Williams, PhD, chair, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Harvard University, will discuss his findings about the impact of discrimination on well-being.
- Kenneth Kaufman, chair, Kaufman, Hall & Associates LLC, will explore the effect of the external environment on healthcare and describe strategies for success during Hot Topic: Healthcare in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
- Bringing a holistic perspective from inside some of the world’s leading organizations, Ginny Clarke, former executive recruiter, Google, will share leadership strategies for creating disruption-proof high-performing teams at the closing session.
You’ll also have an opportunity to hear Clarke speak during the 2022 Congress on Healthcare Leadership, March 28–31. Congress registrants who are interested in attending the Virtual Leadership Symposium can register for that event with a discount of more than 50% off the regular fee by adding it to their in-person Congress registration. Additionally, ACHE Members experiencing economic hardship now have until Feb. 21 to apply to the Tuition Waiver Assistance Program.

Students and Host Sites: Register for the 2022 Summer Enrichment Program
As we begin a new year, we’d like to remind you to register for the American Hospital Association’s Institute for Diversity and Health Equity’s 2022 Summer Enrichment Program. The Summer Enrichment Program grows and strengthens the pipeline of healthcare leaders from underrepresented groups, and places diverse graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in healthcare administration or a related field in 10-week, paid internships across the country. The Institute’s staff is working with organizations to match SEP students with host sites starting in February. Internships generally take place from June through August.
ACHE and the Institute are co-promoting the SEP to increase the number of students who participate in the program each year and, accordingly, increase the number of host sites. Just as students benefit from experiential learning, healthcare organizations that register to become host sites gain access to the healthcare leaders of tomorrow—former SEP interns are now CEOs and administrators of hospitals and healthcare organizations nationwide.
Help strengthen equity and inclusion in healthcare organizations—learn more and register today.
