Develop a 90-Day Action Plan to Improve Culture

Explore how to enhance your organizational culture while earning 12 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits when you attend “Culture: The Force Behind Strategy.” Offered at the New Orleans Cluster, Oct. 21–24, strategy expert Brian Wong, MD, will help senior executives gain the insights, tools and resources needed to evaluate the current state of their organization’s culture, define what needs to change and develop a 90-day action plan to improve it.

Also at the cluster, you’ll discover nontraditional ways to spur innovative thought within your teams during “Possibilities, Probabilities and Creative Solutions: Breakthrough Thinking for Complex Environments.” Innovation thought leader Kevin E. ACHE Requests Your Input on Our Strategic Plan

ACHE annually examines its Strategic Plan with a continuing focus on meeting the evolving membership needs and of the healthcare management field. We are now in the second year of our three-year strategic-planning cycle with a focus on accelerating the digital experience of our members and exploring new engagement models for early careerists, clinicians and C-suite executives. We also are focusing on strengthening chapters and amplifying our Leading for Safety initiative. Additionally, we are preparing for our triennial “deep dive” in July 2020 to revisit our Strategic Plan and build a new set of strategic priorities to guide the organization’s work during the next three-year cycle.

In November, ACHE will present the Board of Governors with final revisions to the Strategic Plan. If you would like to provide your feedback, please take a moment to review the draft 2020–2022 Strategic Plan and send us your thoughts, comments and ideas for improvement. Please direct your email responses to StrategicPlanFeedback@ache.org. The deadline for comments is Oct. 18, 2019.

IHF World Hospital Congress One Month Away, Webinar Next Week

Call For Proposals: Management Innovations Poster Session

ACHE invites authors to submit narratives of their posters for consideration for the 36th annual Management Innovations Poster Session to be held at ACHE’s 2020 Congress on Healthcare Leadership. This is a unique opportunity for authors to share the innovative work their organizations are doing with other healthcare leaders.

We are interested in innovations addressing issues affecting your organization that might be helpful to others, including improving quality or efficiency, improving patient or physician satisfaction, implementation of EHRs, uses of new technology and similar topics. All accepted applicants are expected to be available to discuss their posters on Monday, March 23, between 7: a.m.–8 a.m. Posters will remain on display March 23–25 at Congress.
