Diana L. Smalley, FACHE, Installed as ACHE Chairman
CHICAGO, March 9, 2013—Diana L. Smalley, FACHE, regional president of Mercy in Oklahoma, has assumed the office of Chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Smalley was installed today at the Council of Regents Meeting preceding ACHE’s 56th Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
Smalley received the gavel from ACHE’s outgoing Chairman, Gayle L. Capozzalo, FACHE, executive vice president, strategy and system development, Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health System. As Chairman, Smalley will serve the second part of a three-year term in ACHE’s consecutive chairmanship offices: Chairman-Elect, Chairman and Immediate Past Chairman.
Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Smalley previously served as an ACHE Governor from 2009 to 2012. She served as the ACHE Regent for Nebraska from 2002 through 2006.
