Program Spotlight: ACHE Achieves Joint Accreditation for Continuing Education 

ACHE is thrilled to announce that as of Jan. 1, 2020, we have been granted four years of joint accreditation as a provider of continuing education for healthcare teams by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. With joint accreditation, we can offer AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for physicians, contact hours of continuing nursing education, continuing pharmacy education credit and AAPA Category 1 CME credit for physician assistants for all in-person events such as the upcoming Beaver Creek Cluster, the 2020 Congress on Healthcare Leadership, online seminars and live webinars.

Jointly accredited continuing education providers must meet rigorous standards for educational quality and independence. As the preeminent professional society for leaders dedicated to improving health, ACHE is proud to be a jointly accredited provider of high-quality, interprofessional continuing healthcare education.

ACHE Graduate Student Scholarships Available

Applications for the 2020 Dent and McGaw scholarships are opening soon. Offered annually, the Albert W. Dent and Foster G. McGaw graduate student scholarships are awarded to outstanding students enrolled in graduate programs in health services administration to help finance their education. Each scholarship is worth $5,000. Every year, ACHE awards up to a total of 15 scholarships.

Discover Opportunities for Physician Leaders at Clearwater Beach

Physician executives can find a variety of seminars to meet their professional development needs at the Clearwater Beach Cluster, Jan. 27–30, all while earning up to 24 Face-to-Face Education credits.

They’ll discover how to reconcile the business objectives of healthcare with the transcendent values at the heart of clinical care when they attend “Achieving Superior Outcomes Through Executive-Physician Partnerships.” Expert faculty Brian J. Silverstein, MD, and Tom A. Atchison, EdD, will lead this seminar.

Under the guidance of faculty Jake M. Poore, physician leaders interested in transforming culture to drive the ideal patient experience will explore proven continuous improvement methodologies that result in improved patient survey results during “Improving the Patient Experience to Build Customer Loyalty.”

Attendees of “Professional Burnout in Healthcare: Lead Your Organization to Wellness” will develop a plan to reverse and prevent burnout, discover how to target burnout and lead the way for others in their organization to address this critical issue. Expert faculty Harjot Singh, MD, and Michael E. Frisina, PhD, will lead the seminar.
