Membership Dues Waiver
If you have been a member for two or more years, you may qualify for a hardship waiver to cover your annual membership dues. You will qualify for the waiver if:- You are a current ACHE Member or Fellow and have become unemployed.
- You have been a Member or Fellow for two years and have paid full dues consecutively for the last two years.
- You are actively continuing to seek employment in healthcare management.
- You are not employed in any capacity, including healthcare consulting.
Waivers can be renewed for one additional year after the initial application if you are still seeking employment.

FACHE Recertification Waiver
If you are a Fellow due to recertify and have recently become unemployed, you may qualify for a recertification waiver to waive your recertification fee and extend your time to complete your recertification requirements. You may qualify if:
- You are a current Fellow and have an active membership.
- You have recently become unemployed and are due to recertify by Dec. 31 of the current year.
- You are actively continuing to seek employment in healthcare management.
- You are not employed in any capacity, including healthcare consulting.

FACHE Five-Year Recertification Waiver
If you are due to recertify but plan to retire within the next five years, you are eligible for a one-time waiver of your recertification fee and requirements. Fellows are eligible for this if you meet the following requirements:- You are a current Fellow and have an active membership.
- You are 60 or older and plan to retire within the next five years.
- This is currently the year you are due to recertify your credential.

Retired or Life Fellow Status
If you are retired or semiretired, you qualify for reduced dues while maintaining your membership benefits.
- Retired status is available to current Members and Fellows.
- You must be retired or semiretired (working fewer than three days a week) to qualify.
- If you are a current Fellow, have at least 25 years of combined membership and are retired, you qualify to be a Life Fellow.
- Both require a short application you can fill out online, or you can contact our Customer Service Center at contact@ache.org or at (312) 424-9400.
